SAP® Business One lets users configure the basic system settings for all capabilities. This includes defining exchange rates, setting authorization parameters, creating internal mail, e-mail, and SMS settings, and configuring data import/export functions.

Administrators can define what information users may access. Documents have owners and, based on a user's relationship to the owner; they will be granted either full, read-only, or no access. Access can be defined on whether the user is in the same team, department or branch, or has the same manager as the owner or is the owner's manager or a subordinate
